| 4 Poofs Mics Charity Auction |
|
Due to the tenure of Friday Night With Jonathan Ross drawing to a close at the BBC the microphones used by his resident band, 4 Poofs & A Piano, are being put up for auction in aid of Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital. Supplied by Terry Tew Sound & Light to the show’s broadcast sound supervisor Andy Tapley, the four Shure SM63 mics in pink – what else! – have been in use since 2001.
“It’s a wonderful bonus that having worked so well for the past nine years the mics will now go towards helping such a worthwhile cause,” adds Tew. “We are delighted that the 4 Poofs, Jonathan Ross and Terry Tew have chosen to support the children and families of Great Ormond Street Hospital,” says Martin Harris, Great Ormond Street Hospital’s Regional Fundraising Manager for London. “The hospital welcomes around 200,000 patient visits each year treating patients with the most complex, life-threatening or life-limiting conditions. Our amazing supporters help us to continue to treat sick children from across the UK and the world.”
To take part in the auctions use anyone of the 4 links below for each of the microphones.
