We have just supplied all sound, lighting, staging and crowd control barriers for pop band McFly as they performed a secret gig for passengers and staff after turning on the Christmas lights at London Heathrow International airport.
Donning pilot uniforms and switching on the lights in the terminal five arrivals area, Mcfly serenaded passengers with various hits from their new album Above the Noise. The Christmas lights will remain on for the duration of the festive season during which time 3million passengers are expected to fly from the airport.
We were given a brief by our client Mischief PR to provide a one stop solution to their client BAA, the owners of Heathrow airport.
For the sound equipment we supplied a D&B line array, D&B wedges, Digico Sound Desks as well as various mics and stands as per Mcflys touring rider.
For the lighting we supplied 24 James Thomas Pixel Pars, 12 Martin Mac 250 Kryptons and Pulsar Chroma Strips. This was all controlled by a Roadhog Moving light desk operated by Shaun Burnett.
We also supplied all staging including a mobile drive on foldout stage together with crowd control barriers and Heras fencing.
