AdaptEar® is a discrete device that plugs in line between a PMR or broadcast communications system and the users earpieces. It provides the user with protection against high sound levels.
To provide maximum protection the sensitivity of the AdaptEar® should be adjusted before use, by the user, to match the sensitivity of the earpieces they are using and the intended listening period. Providing the user with the ability to change the sensitivity, allows them to set AdaptEar® for use with different earpieces, for example some AdaptEar® users have generic earpieces for low ambient noise conditions, changing to custom moulded in ear monitors with custom moulded attenuators for high ambient noise environments.
In operation excessive signal levels from the PMR or broadcast communications system are limited and cause the limiting light of the AdaptEar® to flash or illuminate, not only informing the user that limiting is taking place and they are protected but also that they might be advised to turn down the volume of the source. This feature also enables the user to test the unit is operational before use.
AdaptEar® allows the user to safely connect earpieces, using the appropriate Factory Accessories cables to a wide range of communications devices.
AdaptEar® has two inputs, a 6 pin latching miniDIN primary source and a 4 pole 3.5 jack Aux In for a secondary source which enables the simultaneous connection and monitoring of other audio sources.

The C480 B is the pre-amp for the ultralinear series capsules, CK61, CK62, CK63, and CK69 ULS, and represents one of the quietest microphone amps ever built. The C480 B offers excellent audio quality and maximum flexibility. Its electronic circuitry coupled with a transformerless output stage assures completely linear transfer characteristics across the entire frequency range, while achieving self-noise figures close to the theoretical minimum.
A specially designed output stage drives difficult loads like excessively long cables without harming the signal quality. The C480 B offers a two-step high-pass filter and two gain stages of either -10dB or +6dB.

The AKG CK62 is an omni-directional condenser microphone capsule designed for use with the C480 power supply module. As part of AKG’s Ultra Linear Series, the CK62 delivers the sonic performance and signal response required for professional recording and sound reinforcement applications.

The DN1248 PLUS-DP from Klark Teknik is a twelve-channel active signal splitter that provides four discrete outputs, two of which are electronically balanced and two which are transformer isolated. The unit utilizes Midas Heritage series preamps that provide wide headroom and excellent sound.
Uses for the unit include the sending of stage microphones and instruments to the FOH mixer, while also sending feeds to the monitor mixer, and simultaneously to two outside broadcast/recording trucks. For instrument connection, appropriate DI boxes need to be used.
The front-panel contains the twelve inputs along with three of the outputs. Also on the front-panel are solo, pad and gain, ground lift and phantom power switches. The rear-panel provides the fourth output, along with duplicates of the input channels and output 1, wired in parallel. The duplicates are provided for connection convenience, and should not be used simultaneously.
The solo switches allow for monitoring individual channels via a front-panel headphone output. Multiple units can be linked, and the soloing of any channel on any unit can be monitored from any unit, thanks to solo bus connectors.
The DN1248 PLUS-DP features dual, redundant power supplies, providing a second, linked internal PSU to provide auto-backup in the case of PSU failure. The rear panel of this unit includes separate green LED indicators for each power supply. If one power supply fails then the corresponding LED will cease to illuminate.

The ILD300 is built in a half rack-width case. On the rear it has a single balanced microphone input using an XLR connector, with +15V phantom power available. A balanced line input is provided using a 6.35mm 3-pole jack socket, and an input / output using a 6.35mm three-pole jack for recording, slave and insert purposes. A mini-DIN connector provides an ancillary DC outlet, +/- 15V DC, for powering accessories such as Ampetronic’s pre-amplifiers, See Ampetronic Adapters and Pre-amplifiers. A preset control sets metal-loss correction. The IEC power inlet has an associated fuse, the loop output uses a detachable connector.
The front has recessed preset controls for sensitivity of the microphone and line inputs, drive current. Two four-LED displays indicate compression and loop current. LEDs indicate overload, over heat and loop error conditions. A 3.5mm stereo jack socket provides access to the actual audio signal in the loop for use with headphones.
