Brio is the most powerful and compact digital broadcast audio console in its class. It has a comprehensive broadcast feature set to support a wider breadth of broadcasters, and the same market-leading levels of quality and customer support which Calrec is renowned for.
The smallest in Calrec’s Bluefin2 family, Brio’s control surface is unlike any other console. At only 892mm wide with a 36 dual-layer fader surface, Brio is entirely self-contained with analogue and digital I/O, and GPIO, built into the surface. Additional expansion I/O slots are also fitted to allow for further I/O to be connected. A Hydra2 module can be fitted to connect to and share audio over Calrec’s Hydra2 network.
This means Hydra2’s sophisticated management facilities can be utilised for network-wide control, including interfacing with multiple Video and Audio over IP networks such as SMPTE2022, Dante, AES67, Ravenna and Soundgrid. This protects the system against any future formats that may emerge and allows the console to sit on multiple networks simultaneously if desired.

The H2Hub provides a network distribution node that can be used to connect from a router up to 4 x external connections which may be I/O boxes or other Hubs to form a local array of I/O connectivity.
A single connection from any router can be switched via the H2Hub to multiple I/O units, and even another H2Hub if further I/O distribution is required – in fact 3 x H2Hubs can be daisy-chained together. The H2Hub’s connection and distribution options make it ideal for forming ad hoc networks, especially when combined with the Fieldboxes and other Calrec I/O infrastructure.
Hydra2 provides seamless, scalable audio networking of audio mixing consoles with routers and I/O interfaces, allowing for a large numbers of inputs and outputs to be shared and controlled irrespective of location. Hydra2 does not compromise audio quality, performs with negligible latency and is founded on comprehensive, built-in fault detection and redundancy. Many of the world’s most successful broadcasters rely on Hydra2 infrastructure for live on-air application in both fixed and mobile installations every day.
At the heart of Hydra2 is the 8192² Calrec router (4096² on Summa and Artemis Light). Networks become more advanced when multiple routers are connected together to add additional mixing consoles, or to increase the amount of I/O connections available. Routers, mixing consoles and I/O can all be easily connected to the network as and when needed.
Hydra2 provides 1-to-n routing; input sources may be routed to any number of destinations in mixed formats, removing the need for external splits, distribution amplifiers and format convertors. Sources can be routed to multiple consoles, to multiple DSP inputs on each console and directly to output destinations all at the same time.
I/O units connect to a Hydra2 router via a fibre link and can carry 512 channels of 24 bit 48KHz audio in each direction simultaneously, along with control and error detection data. Bandwidth between routers can be increased in multiples of 512 channels by adding additional Hydra2 links between them.
The two-channel CEDAR DNS 2 hosts a DNS algorithm that requires nothing more than switching on the Learn function that identifies and adapts to the background noise, and dialling in the amount of noise attenuation required. Retaining the near-zero latency of all its predecessors, CEDAR DNS 2 is suitable for use in all situations.
CEDAR DNS 2 offers analogue line and microphone inputs (the latter with optional 48V phantom powering), an AES3/AES11 digital input and both analogue and digital outputs.

The A32 Dante is the “fully loaded” Version of the A32.

A professional 100v line amplifier with a 60w output for commercial applications. Being 2U in height but only half width makes this one of the most compact amplifiers on the market today. The C480 B is the pre-amp for the ultralinear series capsules, CK61, CK62, CK63, and CK69 ULS, and represents one of the quietest microphone amps ever built. The C480 B offers excellent audio quality and maximum flexibility. Its electronic circuitry coupled with a transformerless output stage assures completely linear transfer characteristics across the entire frequency range, while achieving self-noise figures close to the theoretical minimum.
A specially designed output stage drives difficult loads like excessively long cables without harming the signal quality. The C480 B offers a two-step high-pass filter and two gain stages of either -10dB or +6dB.
